Baby Bottom Line

My name is Lisa, a GTA Mom... and the Mom behind The Baby Bottom Line. I love Mommy sites, product testing and dishing about them with other Moms! I am a mother to a preemie princess born in March 2009 and a Mama’s boy born in December 2012. I am the one person that if you don't want a truthful answer...don't ask me the question. Yes, I will tell you...you look fat in that dress, no..those shoes don't go well with that belt...or don't bother buying that baby product because you'll never use it! Trust me, sometimes you just need a truthful answer, hear that someone else has gone through the same thing or just someone to talk and connect with for support. So I ended up signing M up for full-time daycare/preschool. She was fine. We had the walk-through, checked the place out, everything was clean, the people were nice. I totally liked that they made all the food there and really, they loved that she was potty trained and so darn cute! LOL. We went 2 days for about an hour and a half so I could see her in the environment and the girls there could get to know me too. Yes I totally brought...

Now that “M” is at the age where she’s really active. ’m thinking having her go to a professional provider (even part-time) would be a good mix for her. She’s very talkative, loves interacting with other kids and really she’s such a smart cookie that I think she can totally strive in that type of environment. I do love home daycares though… they are more personal and I think they actually truly love those kids. Plus, realistically,...

So ya I’ve hit my breaking point with this whole baby weight thing. Fyi it’s now no longer “baby weight.” Its officially just FAT! M did so well with potty training. She was pretty much done in less than a week. I still put her in pull-ups for when we go out but summer is coming which means baseball season starts soon! What do I do in the situations where there are no washrooms? HEEEELLLPP!! Do I bring a potty with me to the ball park? If so… suggestions? Also, the guys had a practice last weekend and I’m now realizing that there is absolutely without a doubt nooooo...

Wow... M  and this whole potty thing is actually working!! AMEN! Underwear during the day (1 accident a day if that) and pull-ups while we’re out  just in case we can’t get to a bathroom in time. I’ve also been putting her in a pull-up during nap times too and the majority of the time she wakes up with it dry or barely wet. Night time obviously that’s a whole different hurtle we’ll come to later on. We stick her in a diaper at night....

Potty training is pure torture. I must have done something extremely bad in my last life to be tortured the way I am right now. The first time she went on the potty was in October... total fluke, but she did it anyway. Now she’s showing more interest, tells me when she has to go or just has gone, squats when she’s going, can take her pants off and enjoys the rewards associated with a “success” lol. So I’ve finally decided that it’s time for me- no one else. I started my “healthy” new life with a 7 day detox (The Brown Rice Detox) and lost 8lb in 7 days. Well…what an end to 2010. Both my husband and I were on vacation, which should be a happy, relaxing time. Um YA-RIGHT! We were all sick...
