Double The Fun
I'm Brianne and I am a local TV producer and videographer in York Region. My job enables me to share stories and experiences with my viewers. At the age of 32 I am now writing a new chapter of my own...I'm a first time expectant mommy of not only one but two bundles of joy! The journey hasn't been an easy one. It's included a devastating miscarriage, infertility fears, followed by the unexpected yet amazing news that my husband and I will be welcoming twins in the spring. I started writing my blogs as a way to share my experiences, the good and the bad, as well as a way to help other moms and dads out there that might be going through something similar.
My Biopsy
I have a confession to make. I share quite a lot of personal information with all of you through my blogs. This is something I'm happy to do. I do it in hopes that my stories will help parents who might be going through the same things I've been through. I hope that my stories make you laugh, inspire and educate you. I've withheld one very important story from you all. I'm not exactly sure why. It's very personal but not any more...
Why Does My Baby Hate The Crib?
I can’t tell you how often I hear “my baby does not like his crib” or “my baby has anxiety about the crib”. I understand why you may think this and there is good news. Your baby could love the crib if you give them a chance. It’s important to understand why it’s happening. They haven’t slept in it before: If your baby has been sleeping in a bassinet or playpen or with you then the crib is something new. It is going to...

Hey Mom, Say Cheese!!!
Being photographed is not always fun for people who don’t feel like they are looking their best. Aka: new moms. We feel a little heavier than usual, we haven’t slept, probably haven’t had a haircut in ages and are generally not running at optimum levels. I say this is a new mom but I’m not a new mom and still feel like this… I guess I can say I sometimes feel a little run down. Recently I was on holiday with my husband and two...

Fun Baby Bath Toys
Learning through play is the primary way young children learn and practice new skills. Bath toys can provide hours of entertainment and education for kids. When selecting bath toys make sure there are not any cords that could cause choking and small pieces that could be swallowed or pushed up their nose, and ensure the toys are non-toxic. Bath time can be a terrific time to reinforce skills kids are learning like colors, counting, shapes...

Everything you love about Vermont in one little hotel!
Burlington, VT is one of my favourite cities. As I’ve mentioned before I love Burlington and it has an excellent, warm vibe about it. For me it’s a combination of the lake, the trees, the local and organic food, the friendly people and the craft beer. I’m not going to lie, I consume quite a lot of beer while I’m in Vermont, for some reason it just tastes better. We normally stay in the same large chain hotel every time we visit...
How to Achieve the Right Quantity and Quality of Sleep for Your Baby
When it comes to baby and toddler sleep one of the most common misconceptions is that if you keep them up all day, they will sleep all night. For every parent who’s tried that we know it’s not true. Sleep begets sleep and when there are large chunks of sleep consistently missing from your child’s day or night, he will run the risk of developing a sleep debt and becoming chronically overtired. Suddenly short naps, bedtime battles, and...
