The Lost Teeth

My son went from having one loose tooth to walking out of a routine dentist appointment missing two teeth.  The teeth were loose, so our dentist pulled them out. Painless. There was blood and some crying caused by shock. But a visit to the treasure chest and a blown up latex glove with a drawn on chicken face left him toothlessly smiling from ear to ear.

He was extremely mature about putting his teeth under his pillow – not scared at all – and when he woke up to two twoonies under his pillow, he was ecstatic.

His first day of school went without a hitch. He was happy to line up for his new teacher and he didn’t seem to mind that he only knew a few of the kids standing in line with him.

My baby is growing up. He is missing two teeth and he is happily in grade one. *insert uncontrollable sobs here*
