Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation Kicks Off Annual Change for Kids Program

October 3, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation officially launched the 2013 Change for Kids program. Change for Kids is about celebrating Halloween while giving trick-or-treaters the opportunity to help change the world for kids with disabilities.

Kids participate by collecting Change for Kids coins on Halloween. This year, Change for Kids coin cards are available at all Scotiabank branches in the GTA, as well as across Ontario at Rexall™ Pharma Plus® stores and Husky locations. Coin cards can also be purchased at select Spirit Halloween stores and the Amazing Party and Costume store, or online at changeforkids.ca.

Each $5 Change for Kids coin card contains 20 individual coins that can be handed out to trick-or-treaters. Trick-or-treaters must enter each coin’s PIN code at changeforkids.ca for their chance to win one of more than 500 prizes. For every PIN code entered, Scotiabank will donate $5 to Holland Bloorview.

“Change for Kids is a fantastic way for us to raise money for programs and services at the hospital while giving kids a chance to have some fun and give back to help children with disabilities,” said Tracey Bailey, President and CEO, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation.

Launching October 3 and running through Halloween, the grand prize winner will be announced on November 18, 2013. The grand prize is a weekend stay at Great Wolf Lodge for 50 people, valued at $20,000. Additional prizes include: $25 Toys”R”Us gift cards, Cineplex movie tickets for two, one night stays at Great Wolf Lodge, $1,000 RESPs from Scotiabank, bikes from Sport Chek, and PlayStation 3 gaming consoles.
