I have 6 boys and 1 baby girl and I homeschool 3 of them ..there are definantly times when I get frustrated beyond myself and yell and yes I feel trrible but one thing I do often is ask god for his strength in helping me to stay and keep calm,it really works when I remember to listen to that still small voice ;)
His mercies are new every morning!

I do yell at my 3 year old....only when I get really frustrated. She is very headstrong (where does she get it from : ). I feel bad about it to and I too apologized and also explain why I get angry or frustrated. Then she says: 'it's ok, mommy'. That even makes me feel more guilty. But we are human and we do get frustrated. As moms we have busy lifes and try to juggle, well that's how I experience it anyway. I have an almost 1 year old too, don't yell at him (yet) but I am sure it will happen one day, even if I don't want to. So yes, I can relate to all you are saying Sandy : ).

Being from that same loud-talking family as you, I too yell at my kids. I also don't like doing it and it never makes me feel any better. My kids are quite a bit older than yours but it still happens. I'll try the counting to 10...or 100 to see if that woks.
