This definitely works. I have been doing this routine with my son since he was 2 months old. At 4 months he goes down really well. He is sleeping through the night, although at 3 months of age he had a bought of sleep regression for 2 weeks, I found charting his sleep and feeding patterns helpful to make sure he was getting enough sleep through the day.... in the end it was about him breaking free from his swaddle. Trial and error is the name of this game. Good luck Ladies!

I have the same issue....our 5 month old sleeps through the night but won't go to sleep without falling asleep while nursing at which point I have to quietly carry to his crib in hopes of not waking him up. If I do put him to bed while he's awake, he screams to no end and is hard to console without offering to breastfeed again. Any advice is welcomed as I know we should be placing our babies to bed while awake.

I agree. The best thing is to pick a routine and stick with it. If you cave and start feeding her again when she keeps crying she wins. The longer you stick with it the easier it will get.
