And some of our favorite celebrity moms are welcoming their babies at home.

While home births still constitute less than 1 percent of total births in the United States, births at home have increased 50 percent since 2004, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Continue reading about 10 celebrity moms – including Cindy Crawford, Alyson Hannigan and Gisele Bündchen – who had home births.

Stacy Keibler:

Supermarket Superstar hostStacy Keibler and her husband Jared Pobre welcomed their first child on August 20, she announced on her website. The Dancing with the Stars alum welcomed daughter, Ava Grace, via home birth.

“Jared and I have been blessed with the new love of our lives,” the proud new momannounced. “Ava Grace Pobre was born at home on Wednesday, August 20th. We’ve never experienced a level of joy and happiness like this before! Thank you so much for all of the special wishes and positive energy.”

Omarion’s girlfriend Apryl Jones:

Former B2K singerOmarion, 29, and his girlfriend Apryl Jones have welcomed their first child – a son – the proud papa announced via Instagram August 9. “World. Allow me to introduce. MEGAA OMARI GRANDBERRY. He is 7 pounds. 4oz & 20 inches long,” he captioned the sweet snapshot holding his newborn in his arms.

“My son I’ve been waiting on you,” the R&B singer continued.

The new dad went on to gush about his “soul mate,” who welcomed their son via home birth.

“God is the realist!! I witnessed a miracle,” he added. “My soul mate @aprylsjones is so strong! Not only did she have a un medicated birth (no drugs) she did it at home. Naturally. Just like my mom had me. I love you. thank you for having my legacy. I’ll forever belong to you & you will forever be tied to me. Creating a child takes no love or skill but being a parent requires lots of both. Thanks for watching me grow. #MEGAAhome #OmarionsonMEGAA #donthateonmysonsnameillkillya #Nolol #royalObloodline #blasain #mysongotgoodhair #freshpitthewombhandsom alright. I love y’all.”

Thandie Newton:

During an appearance on TODAY, Rogue actress Thandie Newton talked about the joys of home birth. The mom-of-three proudly said she birthed her son Booker, now 6 months, at home on her bathroom floor.

When asked why she had all three of her kids at home – she and husband Ol Parker are also parents to daughters Ripley, 13, and Nico, 9 – the Mission: Impossible II actress said she feels much more comfortable at home.

“I’d never been in hospital as a child or as an adult really, and I just associated hospital with being ill,” she said of her decision. “And I felt beautiful and healthy and wonderful when I was pregnant, and being at home was the place I felt most relaxed and comfortable.”

She went on to talk about the taboo topic, saying that home births used to be the norm.

“There was a time when everyone had their babies at home,” the Crash star, 41, said. “It wasn’t such a big deal. It’s more about as a woman what do you feel most comfortable doing, and you make the choice, and I chose to be at home.”

Alyson Hannigan:

Alyson Hannigan has quickly become one of our favorite celebrity moms since the birth of her first child, Satyana, in March 2009.Celebrity Baby Scoop sat down with the How I Met Your Mother star and asked about her drug-free homebirth.

“Yes. I did use a midwife and a doula,” she said. “We had the option of having a doctor there, but even he said you’ll only need me if you need to be transferred to the hospital–which thankfully, I did not need.”

Before welcoming her second daughter, Keeva, the American Pie star said she faced many fear-based comments about going forward with another home birth.

“Yes, we had lots of comments about it,” Alyson said. “And we had the doctor that scared us tremendously. There was definitely more concern the first time around. For me, that was just the perfect place. I am absolutely terrified of hospitals. so I think that the home is the best place for me to feel comfortable. I had a midwife, her assistant and a doula. It will be the same again this time.”

Mayim Bialik:

Mayim Bialik has really ‘blossomed’ into an amazing and outspoken mother! An advocate of attachment parenting, Mayim also empowers women to consider medication-free home births.

The Big Bang Theory star and mother of two talked about her second son’s home birth, while her elder son watched.

“Fred, yes, was born at home, and Miles was able to watch the whole thing from his high chair while eating granola,” she said. “Fortunately it was a very fast labor because I think Miles would’ve been bored if it was longer than the hour and a half it was. He loves it, he still talks about it. It was something we talked about with our pediatrician, and believed very strongly in older siblings being present, and giving the choice. We gave him a choice before, we prepared him with videos about homebirth that our midwife prepared. Even during, I said, “If Miles wants to go the next room he can!” But he said, “No, I fine!” He got freaked out by the blood, but it was still nice.”

Alanis Morissette:

On Christmas Day 2011,Alanis Morissette and her husband Mario Treadway welcomed their son Ever into their home with the help of a midwife and a doula.

“I didn’t really even imagine myself having the birth experience in the hospital,” Morissette toldToday. “My home is like my little sanctuary.”

She added: “My husband was at my side the whole time, my total hero. And the rest was really up to God.”

Throughout her home birth, the singer says she tapped into an inner strength.

“The experience was beyond pain,” she admitted. “It was a transcendental experience. I just went to this whole other world. I basically had to be the little soldier that I am and really focus on this new beautiful creature coming out of me.”

She went on to talk about the joys of home birth.

“I think once people know it’s quite possible to have a really amazing home birth — and in my case I have no regrets and would do it again and in the same breath it wasn’t the easiest experience of my life — I think having it be an option is really exciting,” she shared.

Gisele Bündchen:

One of the most outspoken celebrity moms on natural birth is supermodel Gisele Bündchen. The former Victoria’s Secret model gave birth to her first child Benjamin in December 2009 and has openly spoken about her drug-free and pain-free home water birth.

“My delivery was in a bath tub, in water,” Gisele said. “I wanted to have a home birth. I wanted to be very aware and present during the birth… I didn’t want to be drugged up. So I did a lot of preparation, I did yoga and meditation, so I managed to have a very tranquil birth at home. It didn’t hurt in the slightest. The whole time my mind was focused in each contraction on the thought ‘my baby is closer to coming out.’”

A few weeks later the supermodel looked svelte on the cover of Vogue and spoke of her “empowered” birth experience.

“I wanted to experience the transformation,” the model mom said. “It was the most amazing experience of my life, feeling him come through my body. And once he was born, I never felt so empowered as looking at him and thinking, Oh, my God, we did it together!”

The Brazilian beauty later wrote on her blog:

“I am blessed to have been able to have a home birth surrounded by love, where I was able to feel safe,” she wrote. “It was a powerful experience. I never felt so vulnerable but so strong at the same time. It was amazing to experience my body become free to do what it was made to do by allowing my mind and my body to let go and be free to experience the changes taking place within… I was just there… focusing on my breathing and relaxing the best that I could… so present, to witness the biggest miracle in my life happen before my very own eyes. To give life to another being, what a gift!”

As well, Gisele added her voice to the Birth Around the World Project to help promote the humanization of birth.

“I had the opportunity to experience the natural process of birth and it was one of the most life changing experiences for me and very very special!,” she said. “I believe it’s a woman’s right to make the decision about how she’s going to give birth to her child. And it’s also her right to have access to the information she needs so she can make that decision from a place of awareness, and not a place of fear.”

Evangeline Lilly

Lost starEvangeline Lilly welcomed son Kahekili Kali in May 2011 and shared her birth story.

“I actually skipped the hospital … We decided to have the baby at home because we wanted it to be a natural birth, and it turns out that it was 30 hours of natural,” she shared.

Of those thirty hours, Evangeline says a full eight were spent pushing!

“Eight hours of pushing, that’s the part that men don’t understand.” the Canadian beautyadded. “Women go, ‘Oh, dear, oh, dear God, eight hours of pushing?’ And the men are like, ‘Okay, eight hours of pushing. After about five hours of pushing, my midwife and my birthing assistant said, ‘You know, we have a few suggestions,’” she says. “And I was like, ‘Really? After five hours of pushing you have a few suggestions? You couldn’t have told me five minutes in?’

Ricki Lake

Ricki Lake’s documentary about home birth, The Business of Being Born, empowered women everywhere to have unmedicated births at home. She gave birth to her second son Owen, now 13, at home in a bathtub. She talked about her reasons for making the film.

“I wanted to make this movie after my two very different birth experiences with my children,” she said. “I felt like I had an opportunity to explore and question birthing practices in this country and perhaps be an advocate for mothers’ rights and better maternity care.”

On the experience of birthing Owen at home, Ricki said:

“After the birth of my sons, particularly my home birth with my second son, I thought I wanted to become a midwife,” she shared. “Then I looked at all the years of schooling and training that I would have to do and felt that the time could be better spent doing a documentary on the subject of birth.”

Cindy Crawford:

Model mom-of-twoCindy Crawford had both of her children – son Presley and daughter Kaia – at home with her husband Rande Gerber and three midwives on hand.

She spoke of the home birth experience:

“I didn’t tell anyone last time because a lot of people are against home birth and tell you horror stories,” she shared. “Even my husband said at first, ‘Why are we doing this?’” But she went on to say her home birth was ‘absolutely surreal.’”

Pope, 34, is the founder of Rosie Pope Maternity, MomPrep and Rosie Pope Baby, as well as author of “Mommy IQ: The Complete Guide to Pregnancy.”

Just recently, spoke with the mom-of-four about how she balances work and home, what makes royal babies so exciting and her plans forRosie Pope Baby.

CBS: The news about Will and Kate expecting baby #2 has taken the world by storm. What is it about royal babies that get the world so excited?

RP: “Being a prince or princess was probably everybody’s fantasy if only for a few moments as a child. To see it happen in reality is an amazing and magical thing and we get to watch the whole thing happen! It’s uplifting and the stuff of fairy tales but in real life.”

CBS: Kate looked so adorable during her first pregnancy; do you think she will duplicate her first pregnancy fashions or go with a different look?

RP: “Definitely duplicated but maybe she’ll get a little more daring now that she is confident in both how well the world received her fashion choices and in herself. First pregnancies feel so unknown and nerve racking and second pregnancies can be a little more relaxing. You are more used to the changes your body is making.”

CBS: As a maternity fashion designer, what advice would you give women who are pregnant and hoping to remain stylish?

RP: “Stay true to your sense of style and quite simply if it wasn’t something you would wear before you got pregnant, don’t wear it now that you are. We are lucky to have a lot of wonderful maternity designers today and so you can really find things that fit your new and changing body but are in align with the sense of style you have always had. I always keep this in mind when designing maternity clothes. Women want to feel like themselves as much as possible rather than trying too many new things in this very new world (to them) of pregnancy.”

CBS: As a mom of four, what advice would you give Kate about coping with morning sickness?

RP: “This too shall pass. It’s the only way to get through it because it is really not pleasant. She needs to use her support network to get rest and help with George. It is hard already being a mom taking care of your toddler while also trying to take care of yourself and the new baby. Kate is lucky to have help and now is the time to use it.”

CBS: What’s it like in your house with four active kids? What are they into these days? How do you keep everyone organized and keep your sanity?

RP: “It’s crazy but a beautiful kind of crazy! While schedules are so important to make sure we get everything done I have certainly learned to be more relaxed and go with the flow. I try and find those special moments of one on one time with my kids so that we connect in a very special way each day.”

CBS: As a working mom, how do you find balance between career and home?

RP: “I am still trying! One of the most important things are key touch points when I can. For us those are breakfast together in the morning and dinner together along with bath time and stories at night. Being there when they open their eyes in the morning and when they shut them at night are so important to me.”

CBS: Do you have any new projects you’d like to share with us?

RP: “I am working so hard on Rosie Pope baby, expanding the line and the distribution. I am so excited at the number of wonderful stores that will be carrying it come January. I am also planning to launch nursing as an extension of my maternity line next year too. If I totally give up sleeping I might finally finish my second book too ;)”

The Biggest Loser hostAlison Sweeney recently spoke with Celebrity Baby Scoop about her newest novel, getting a good night’s sleep, fitness routine, and summertime with her two children, Ben and Megan.

CBS: Health and fitness is on everyone’s mind these days. What tips have you learned for maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle from your time on The Biggest Loser?

AS: “The main thing I’ve adopted is the importance of making it an overall healthy lifestyle as my way of life. It’s not about a diet or a short term goal, it is making the right choices each and every day. There are of course times to cheat and have some treats but those are the days that I try to get in an extra hard workout or plan one for the next day to still feel good about all of my choices.”

CBS: What does your personal health regime look like? What keeps your motivated? Do you feel pressure to be a good role model to your kids?

AS: “Being a good role model to my kids is the most important thing in the world to me. I find that showing them my healthy lifestyle of eating right and enjoying workouts sets a great example for them, and gets them excited for their fitness. I try to work out every day and to eat healthy foods, and to always get a good night’s rest.”

CBS: As a mom, you want your kids to lead a healthy lifestyle, how do you insure your kids eat right, exercise and get enough sleep?

AS: “My kids don’t know anything different. They love their vegetables and don’t really know fast food. They love getting me ingredients from our garden and they help me get dinner together in a way that has them invested in the meal too. So it’s that much easier to get them to enjoy eating foods that they helped prepare. We hike, play tag and do other fun activities together. Plus they know what time bedtime is to ensure a good rest.”

CBS: What did Benjamin and Megan do over the summer? Do they have any favorite summer activities? Any special family traditions to celebrate the end of summer?

AS: “We have such fun as a family during the summer. We’re constantly being active outside, taking vacations when we can and just enjoying time together. The kids have been in camp a bit but it’s more about our quality time together.”

CBS: Do the kids like school? What are their favorite subjects?

AS: “My kids do like school and they love to learn things. Ben is really into science and Megan loves theater and performing (wonder where she gets that!).”

CBS: Tell us a little about your decision to leave Days and take on a directing role at GH. What prompted it? How hard was it to part with your character of 21 years?

AS: “After 7 years of hosting The Biggest Loser AND being Sami on Days, I realized that I needed to make a change to have more time with my family and to pursue other career ambitions that don’t require the same time commitments. I continue to love hosting The Biggest Loser (which returns on September 11 to NBC) and directing is a passion as well. I’m hoping to direct again at Days soon and loved being at GH to direct there as well. Plus, I continue to love writing and am currently working on my third novel.”

CBS: Congratulations on your new novel! What inspired you to write ‘Scared Scriptless’? Tell us a little about Maddy, is she based on anyone in particular?

AS: “Maddy is a compilation of several people in my life, starting with me! Many of the characters in this book are based on friends I work with and some characters you recognize from my first novel, The Star Attraction. I love the challenge of great storytelling and I love writing the stories that come to me, especially since I’ve spent my whole career telling the stories of other writers’ as an actress. I love to read and my goal is to have these books be ones others love to read for a break from their hectic lives.”

Considering their lack of anonymity with paparazzi lurking at every street corner, we salute celebrity moms who breastfeed their babies while out and about!

Although it’s still considered taboo in some circles, there’s no shame in nursing your baby in public — or on the cover of a magazine for that matter! And we’re so glad that celebrity moms such as Gwen Stefani, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Kourtney Kardashian are on board.

Take a look through our pictures and read about 10 celebrity moms who have breastfed in public.

Kourtney Kardashian:

Reality star Kourtney Kardashian was seen breastfeeding her daughter Penelope in Miami, Florida.

After taking a dip in the pool with her kids, Kourtney was later seen breastfeeding her then 12-month-old baby girl.

Kourtney has been outspoken about her love for breastfeeding. When her sister, Kim Kardashian, was pregnant, Kim recalled a conversation she had with Kourtney about the possibility of wet nursing.

“She said to me, ‘One sister should babysit all the kids, so I can go out or vice-versa, and whichever sister is babysitting should just breastfeed all the kids that are there,’” Kim shared.

While Kim was “disgusted” by the idea, she went on to ask Kourtney, “Does that not freak you out?”

Kourtney responded with, “No, it doesn’t,” adding, ”That’s what they did back in the day.”

Gwen Stefani:

No doubt about it, Gwen Stefani loves being a mama.

The Just a Girl singer, 44, recently shared an image via Instagram, breastfeeding her 5-month-old son Apollo during their family vacation. “#Switzerland,” the mom-of-three captioned the precious pic.

The rockstar mama Gwen Stefani was also seen sharing a tender moment with her then 3-month-old son Zuma on a park bench in Los Angeles. A few months later, the mom-of-two talked about how Zuma self-weaned during No Doubt’s reunion tour.

“I didn’t want him to [quit],” Gwen said. “It felt like a total rejection. It was really hormonal, and trying to stop in the middle of tour was insane.”

Natalia Vodianova:

Joining in on the trend, Russian model Natalia Vodianova shared the first photo of her son Maxim, who was born in early May, via Instagram. In the shot, the naked model mom is seen breastfeeding her newborn.

Pink:

Pink has been open about her attachment parenting philosophy. Tweeting her response to this year’s controversial TIME magazine cover on extended breastfeeding, she wrote:

“I felt that the article in TIME on attachment parenting was unfortunately a tad extreme. I support attachment parenting 100%… And have a very happy and healthy little girl to show for it. It’s time we support what’s healthy (breast feeding) instead of judge it.”

Alicia Silverstone:

Eco-friendly mama Alicia Silverstone wasseen nursing her son Bear Blu, then 10 months, in March 2012. While wearing her son in a baby carrier, the actress was also breastfeeding her boy.

Since welcoming her firstborn child with husband Christopher Jarecki, Alicia has written about nourishing her son on her blog The Kind Life. The Clueless star admitted breastfeeding can be painful at first, but the outcome can result in “insane feelings of ecstasy.”

It can be [painful], but just at first,” Alicia wrote. “What I’ve been told is it’s important to have the bonding latch right away. Everyone I know who had pain in the beginning says how amazing it was after the first two weeks – that the insane feelings of ecstasy while baby nurses are the best ever, and that it’s so worth the baracuda jaws for two weeks. Also, I have seen and heard so much about how the baby, when first put on the chest immediately after birth, will crawl up to your nipple after a while and open its mouth like a little bird looking for the nipple. How cute and precious is that?”

Jaime King:

After struggling with infertility and numerous miscarriages, actress Jaime King proudly shared a photo breastfeeding her son James.

“Breastfeeding should not be taboo- and bottle feeding should not be judged- it’s ALL fun for the whole family,”she captioned the Instagram shot.

Maggie Gyllenhaal:

When her daughter Ramona was 7-months-old, Maggie Gyllenhaal was caught by the paparazzi breastfeeding in a New York City park. At the time, the internet was abuzz with controversy over the intimate shots. Some said the paparazzi were too intrusive, while others felt that Maggie didn’t seem fazed at all – regardless of who saw her – as she breastfed her baby in public.

The Academy Award-nominated actress has commented about the pressures of breastfeeding and raising a newborn.

“I’m not a leave-them-in-their-crib-to-cry kind of girl. Fundamentally, I didn’t find that worked. Everyone’s got their own thing, you know? You can’t tell another person when it’s right to stop breastfeeding, or how to put your kid to sleep. Every child is different.”

Julie Bowen:

Modern Family star Julie Bowen made an appearance on Lopez Tonight in 2010, where she shared a picture and talked to George Lopez about nursing her then 1-year-old twin boys, John and Gus.

“It’s like two little liposuction machines on you,” she said. “They suck the fat out of you. They call it the ‘double football hold.’ You hold one here, and here [gesturing to her breasts], like two footballs… They’re doing God’s work right there, helping me return to my birth weight.”

Julie later commented on her feelings about the pressures of breastfeeding.

“I’m a big live and let live-r,” Julie said. “Seriously [do it], if it works for you, if it’s easy. If it wasn’t easy, I wouldn’t have done it. Some people can’t do it physically…so don’t do it.”

Miranda Kerr:

Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr and her estranged husband Orlando Bloom welcomed their first child in January 2011. The model mom tweeted a gorgeous photo of her and baby Flynn, then 3 months. “Another day in the office,” the new mom wrote, sharing a photo of herself in full hair and make-up at a photo shoot breastfeeding her adorable babe.

Having returned to work just a couple of months after giving birth, Miranda said her quick post-baby weight loss is thanks in part to breastfeeding.

“I think if you really eating the right foods, putting the nutrition into your body and doing yoga and breastfeeding; those things have helped me get back into shape. I remember I was on the elliptical machine when I was pregnant with Flynn.”

The Australian beauty added,

“I intend to breastfeed for as long as I can,” she said. “My breast milk will give our little Flynn the nutrition he needs for his continued healthy development and to all mums out there I am sure you will make the right choice for you and your baby.”

Just hours after giving birth to Flynn, Miranda shared a precious picture breastfeeding her newborn. In response to the photo, she said,

“The photo was one of the first photos Orlando took. We both loved it and we wanted to share it. The pleasant surprise was that it also had the added benefit of promoting breastfeeding which to me is the most natural thing in the world and I love it.”

Angelina Jolie:

W magazine’s November 2008 issue celebrated art — namely Brad Pitt’s photographs of his gorgeous family. His black-and-white shot of Angelina Jolie feeding one of their then 3-month-old twins [Knox or Vivienne] with the baby’s tiny fingers graced the cover of W. The serene, natural and relaxed shot only reaffirmed Angelina’s breathtaking beauty.

Angie opened up about breastfeeding during a very emotional time of her life.

“I had lost my mum, I’d had a baby and I’d been breastfeeding and I was in a very emotional place as a woman. I knew instinctually and talked to Brad about it, that if I could find something that would get me physical again it would be like therapy, because everything was making me cry.”

Salma Hayek:

On a goodwill trip to Sierra Leone in 2009, Salma Hayek famously breastfed a week-old infant whose mother was too malnourished to produce milk herself. The actress recalled the wet nurse experience.

“The baby was perfectly healthy, but the mother didn’t have milk. He was very hungry. I was weaning Valentina [then 2-years-old], but I still had a lot of milk that I was pumping, so I breast-fed the baby,” she says, her voice dropping. “You should have seen his eyes. When he felt the nourishment, he immediately stopped crying.”

Salma says she was hoping to raise awareness that Sierra Leone has the highest infant mortality rate in the world. She went on to say, “I actually think my baby would be very proud to share her milk. And when she grows up I’m going to make sure she continues to be a generous, caring person.”

Years later, Salma continues to answer questions about acting as a wet nurse.

If you have milk, you have milk, and if they’re hungry, they’re hungry,” she said. “I think it’s a beautiful thing, because motherhood is a very strong place for women to connect and understand each other.”

Keely Shaye Smith:

James Bond star Pierce Brosnan and his wife, former journalist Keely Shaye Smith, famously graced the December 1997 issue of REDBOOK with their then 11-month-old son Dylan. Then a fairy revolutionary cover, editor in chief Kate White explained that the magazine produced two covers – one being “more traditional” – for the first time in its history because they didn’t want “to force the image on anyone.”

Meanwhile, some convenience-store-chain owners said that if customers complained, they reserved the right to move the cover behind the counter along with risqué men’s magazines like Playboy and Penthouse.

Lucy Lawless:

Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless shared an intimate shot with her then 3-month-old son Judah to promote World Breastfeeding Week in 2002, which featured her quote, “Breastfeeding — My best role ever.”

Mayim Bialik:

Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik, who also holds a PhD in neuroscience, shared an image breastfeeding her 3-year-old son Fred on a New York City subway last year. The attachment parenting advocate wrote a thoughtful piece to accompany the intimate shot.

I have written about my now 3-year-old son Fred, and his nursing rhythms before,” Mayim wrote. “To recap: Fred nursed for a solid 12 months with no supplements, no solid foods, and not even a sip of water. He got the hang of eating solids around 18 months, but continued to nurse all day (with bottles of pumped breastmilk when I was at work), and on demand all night. A typical night involved no less than four wake-ups and sometimes six (every 2 hours on the clock for 12 hours of bed time was not unusual). This went on for almost 3 years.”

What do you think about breastfeeding in public?

We all know Larry King as the world-renowned TV anchor who kept Americans in-the-know on global happenings for 25 years via his CNN show, Larry King Live.

My Life As A Dad, the popular web series that delves into the lives of celebrity fathers, recently chatted with Larry King about his experience in being a dad to five children, two of which were born almost four decades after his first children.

Larry King’s son Larry, Jr., adopted son Andy, and daughter Chaia were born in the 60′s, a hectic time when his promising and long-withstanding broadcast journalism career took off. In the interview, Larry shares how he thinks his earlier children might view how he fathers his sons Chance (b. 1999) and Cannon (b. 2000) differently now.

“I don’t know if they are hurt by it…they don’t say it,” Larry says. “They all pretty much handle it very well and they love their younger brothers. But I imagine that there is a little resentment. That would be normal, you know, why he wasn’t there for me all the time. It’s the kind of life I led and if I could do a do-over again, I would have spent more time.”

The reputable TV anchor goes on to share his greatest piece of advice for parents and discloses one of his biggest regrets. His advice for parents: “The advice I would give is ‘you can’t get it back.’ The day you didn’t go to the game, you can’t get that back. You didn’t go. The hotel room that goes unsold will never be sold. The day you didn’t spend, you didn’t spend. That is a big regret of mine; that I didn’t do more.”

He also discusses how many men don’t understand real love until they have a child. “It’s the first time in your life,” he shares. “You don’t have to love your wife–that’s why there is divorce. You don’t divorce your children. There are things about your children that will annoy you, but the love is spectacular.”

He also shares a special moment he had at one of his son’s baseball games: “Yesterday, my son pitched three scoreless innings for Notre Dame’s scrimmage game. I was sitting in the stands at the beautiful field at Notre Dame. He was pitching and standing on the mound with that regal look…I just looked at him and could almost cry. I flashed back to the day he was born and the day I took him to his first game. And there he is, standing with that regal look. He struck out a guy…that jolt just goes through your heart. He asked me, ‘Do you root for me more than you root for the Dodgers?’ and I said, ‘Of course!’”

And does he have any thoughts about the fatherhood experience?

“Fatherhood is fantastic, fantastic.,” Larry states. “Whatever is second best is a distant second.”

Manning, 33, has had great success on the field. But his most cherished memories have nothing to do with roaring crowds, smart plays or perfect passes. Celebrity Baby Scoop Scoop spoke with Eli about spending time with his family, his father, football great Archie Manning, and his two young daughters – Ava, 3 , and Lucy, 1.

CBS: Tell us about your partnership with Oral B and the March of Dimes. How did you get involved? What inspired you to participate in this Father’s Day celebration?

EM: “I’m thrilled to partner with OralB and March of Dimes this Father’s Day because being a dad is my most important responsibility. As a young boy, I can remember throwing around the football with my dad in the front yard and now, I get to make my own special memories with my daughters. I’m proud to partner with OralB and March of Dimes to celebrate those little moments between fathers and children, no matter where they live or what they do.”

CBS: How does your family celebrate Father’s Day? What traditions mean the most to you?

EM: “My family and I spend the holiday outside; playing games and running around. As a boy, my favorite Father’s Day memory was playing with my dad and brothers in the backyard. We were always very active.”

CBS: How influential has your Dad been in your parenting style? What do you admire most about your Dad?

EM: “My dad has been extremely influential in my parenting style. I admire that my dad always set a good example about being a good sport. After a game, my dad didn’t care about winning or losing. He would give us a hug and remind us not take it too seriously. My dad also never tried to live his athletic career or aspirations through me and my brothers – if we wanted help with a play or throw, he would of course help us but we’d have to ask.”

CBS: What kinds of activities do you enjoy doing as a family?

EM: “As a family, we enjoy being outside as much as possible and playing games together. We have a lot of energy and lots of activities to keep us busy.”

CBS: You keep a busy travel schedule during football season, how do you find balance between football and family?

EM: “When I come home after a game, I try to leave the game behind me and really focus on my family and being a good dad. Time goes by quickly, so I try to enjoy every moment I have with my family.”

CBS: The 2014 football season looks to be a good one, which matchups are you most looking forward to?

EM: “As a team, we’re feeling very good about the upcoming season and confident in our new offensive system. Each week is going to be a good challenge for us.”

Brooke Burke-Charvet’s new line of workout apparel – Caelum promises to help achieve fitness goals while staying stylish all for under $100. Celebrity Baby Scoop caught up with the always on-the-go mom of four to talk about Caelum and where her inspiration came from.

CBS: Tell us about your recent photo shoot in Venice Beach for your fitness line, Caelum Campaign. Was it nerve-wracking getting in those teeny tiny outfits for the camera?

BB: “We decided to let Venice Beach be the home for the Caelum Campaign photo shoot. I absolutely love the energy in Venice Beach so we chose to use graffiti walls and have the heart of Southern California be the back drop for the launch of the line.

The line offers styles for every type of woman and the goal is to inspire women to dress the part and live their fittest life.”

CBS: Tell us all about the brand. It looks colorful and cozy. What inspired the various designs?

BB: “My goal for Caelum is to inspire women to get fit and dress the part. I always say, if you are going to sweat to do it in style J.

I created Caelum, derived from the acronym that defines the brand: “core, active, evolve, live, uplift and motivate,” for women with active, on-the-go lifestyles.

I also believe that fitness is fashion! This line was inspired by seasonal colors and current fashion trends so women can have fun when they are pulling their fitness wardrobe out of their closet!”

CBS: We hear the line will be available in Nordstrom. Congrats, and tell us more!

BB: “Thank you! I am very excited that a two year dream is becoming a reality and Nordstrom is the perfect home to launch my brand.

Right now, the line is available at Nordstrom.com and within the next week, will be available in Nordstrom stores across the country. To celebrate the launch of Caelum, I will be teaching a Booty Burn class at the Nordstrom store in The Grove on May 17th. I hope everyone will come out and view the line, pick up a few pieces and join me for a great workout!”

CBS: How do you stay in check re. body image and staying healthy? How do you bring a healthy message home to your daughters? To your son?

BB: “It is very tricky. Right now, my older girls are totally into fitness, which I think is great. I try to never use words like “fat” or “skinny” and instead I talk about being healthy, strong and getting fit. I try to lead by example, because working out is so much more than just the body. It is about mind, body and souls as well as the benefits of choosing to be active go so much deeper than the surface.”

CBS: Shall we watch for a fitness DVD to follow? Maybe you’ll be helping moms to get back into shape post-baby?

BB: “I currently have a DVD with Sony and have already produced four titles and plan on producing four more in the next year. For these DVDs’ I did not just lend my name, but instead I developed workouts such as Sexy Abs, 30 Day Slim Down, Tone and Tighten and Strength & Condition that individuals at a variety of different fitness levels can use and truly work!”

CBS: What’s with Hollywood’s obsession to lose the baby weight fast? What’s your best advice to new moms in the postpartum period?

BB: “I totally believe in belly binding! I wrapped my post pregnancy belly in a belly binding sleeve I developed, Tauts, for forty days and forty nights. This totally helped support the baggy baby skin and forced me to keep my core engaged. I really truly believe this is the best natural approach to getting back in shape.

I will say it takes a miracle to make and grow a baby. All women need to embrace the time and anything that happens to their bodies is so worth it, but it should not be used as an excuse. Stay healthy, stay strong and be positive… remember the pregnancy belly does not have to be forever.”

CBS: Tell us your best tips for moms wanting to get started in a regular fitness routine. What’s the key to success?

BB: “I firmly believe you have to be stronger than your excuses. There are a lot of tips and tricks, but no real secrets.

Making a commitment with a friend, signing up for a gym membership, purchasing a DVD, signing up for a workout class are all really helping and keep you honest. I also think women need to mix up their workouts, set reasonable goals and make the commitment to start.

If you are not sweating, you are not working out hard enough. So push yourself to your limits, write it down and make a schedule which allows you to be as equally important as everyone else is in your life. Make fitness a priority.”

CBS: How are your kids doing? Do they enjoy working out with you? Or are they into sports? Maybe they like both?

BB: “My kids are doing awesome! They love to workout with me. I really enjoy family fitness and sometimes will bring my son to a class and I love bringing my older girls to my Booty Burn class. It is a fun, rhythmic and free space for everyone to have a blast.”

Offering the perfect balance of performance and style, Caelum’s design aesthetic is luxe, modern minimalism using soft, stylish and functional fabrics. Providing maximum performance and comfort for a better fit and a better workout at an affordable price, Caelum apparel will help achieve fitness goals while staying stylish all for under $100. Caelum will be available at Nordstrom stores nationwide in early May. Brooke Burke-Charvet will also be appearing at the Nordstrom’s Grove location on May 17, 2014 at11:00am for an in-store appearance and autograph signing. Guests will be able to join Brooke in a Booty Burn workout class!

Switched at Birth actress Lea Thompson stars as Rene in the UP Original Movie My Mother’s Future Husband, airing Friday, May 23rd at 9 p.m. EST on UP. In the movie, the former Back to the Future star plays a widowed mom whose daughter works to find her a new husband “as a sixteen year old would do it.”

Lea chats with Celebrity Baby Scoop about her role in the “romantic and really sweet” movie. The mom-of-two, to daughters Madelyn, 23, and Zoey, 19, goes on to discuss the joys and challenges of working on the Back to the Future movies, her daughter Zoey’s acting career, and the advice she’s given her along the way.

CBS: Tell us about your role as Rene on My Mother’s Future Husband. Tell us about the show and your role as a mom to a 15-year-old daughter in the show.

LT: “It’s such a cool movie that is about a mother and daughter who are extremely close. They are really good friends. My character Rene’s husband died a few years before, which made her clingier to her daughter, Headly. We have worked through grief and loss and now we are best friends. My daughter realizes if she is ever going to find a life, she will need to find me a life. The story is about trying to find a new spouse for me as a sixteen year old would do it, and it’s not a perfect process. She finds about her own ability to find a cool guy to be with. It’s romantic and really sweet and, hopefully, it’s funny. Matreya Fedor plays my daughter and it’s unbelievable what a great actress she is. She’s so good. I loved working with her.”

CBS: Considering you have two daughters of your own, can you relate to Rene and her relationship with her daughter Headly?

LT: Yes, I can! It’s very similar in that I’m super close to them. There is always a lot of interesting and intense talk about whether kids should be your friends or not. It’s a very personal thing and it’s all about how you interpret the word ‘friend.’ My kids are my friends. If your interpretation of a friend is someone you go out and drink with, that’s not my interpretation of friend, in this instance. They are my friends in the sense that I really respect them as people, and I always have. I tell them the truth when I think they’re being jerks or whatever. I’m sure I hang around my kids more than they want to hang around me, that’s for sure.” [laughs]

CBS: We loved you as Lorraine Baines in the Back to the Future movies! Tell us about the joys/challenges of working on that trilogy.

LT: “You know, the joy is that it is still so beloved as a movie. It still resonates with people and it’s obvious people got something really profound out of it. The difficult part of it was that it took so long; it took half a year to make each movie. That was hard. The make-up took a long time when they made me look old. It’s really great that new generations, like grandparents, are showing grandkids the movie. It’s really a neat feeling.”

CBS: Do you still keep in touch with your costars, such as Michael J. Fox?

LT: “No, we don’t keep in touch, but if I bump into them we get along.”

CBS: Do you think there would be any chance of a Back to the Future reunion show?

LT: “We’ll probably get together for a 30th anniversary, but I don’t think we’ll make another movie.”

CBS: Tell us about your two daughters Madelyn and Zoey.

LT: “Maddy is 22 and she is a musician, actress and writer. She’s busy all of the time. She’s making an album right now and she just had a movie come out called 50 to 1. She also wrote a movie called Fear of Spectacular Men and I’m trying to gather the money to make that movie. My daughter, Zoey, was just the star of the Vampire Academy movie. She’s also auditioning and taking art classes. We’re all going to sing together at a benefit called ‘What A Pair’ on my birthday, May 31st, to raise money for breast cancer. We had our first rehearsal yesterday and it was really fun. We’re going to have a great time.”

CBS: Tell us a bit about your daughter Zoey’s acting career. Did she catch the acting bug quite young? Did you discourage or encourage her to follow that path?

LT: “Kind of, but I didn’t let her start acting until she was fifteen. I couldn’t take driving her around and I just wanted her to be older. They are both really good actresses. I work with them a lot on their auditions and stuff like that, which is a really fun way to spend time with your kids. It’s fun to have something to do and actually accomplish something.”

CBS: What advice have you given her along the way?

LT: “All kinds of advice. Mostly about ensuring that she enjoys the process and not just the results, because life goes by so fast and it’s important to have a good time working.”

CBS: What’s up next for you?

LT: “I’m shooting season 3b of Switched at Birth on ABC Family and I hope to do more directing of these shows. I also hope to direct the movie Fear of Spectacular Men. I have a small part in the movie Left Behind, which should come out at the end of summer, and I have another movie called The Trouble with The Truth on Video On Demand, HULU, Netflix, and all of that. I also have another movie called Ping Pong Summer that will come out in the fall.”
